Quick Update: Not much has changed since yesterday, he got his staples out so that his incision could breath and heal. They have given him some diuretics to try and pull some of the fluid off but not much is really happening. His numbers continue to come up, which is a very good thing. He is trying to eat as much as he can but he isn't getting as much protein as they would like him to. They told us today that if his protein doesn't come up soon they will have to put him back on the nutrition through the IV. He is still getting up and walking across the room and sitting in a chair to eat his meals. Please keep us in your prayers, it seems like we are in a holding pattern and could really use more help.
Thanks for all the love and support,
Kalyn and Josh

Randy said keep getting up and walking everyday, and as soon as they will let you hit the hallways. Love you guys,
Randy & Becky
We think of you daily and are so glad things seem to be headed in the right direction.
Still praying for you guys! Love you so much!!!
Hi Kalyn, hi Josh
I am keeping you in my thoughts and I hope the good news continue!
Are they giving Josh protein-enriched drinks to help with the proteins? In Swiss hospitals we have them in flavors like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Not everybody likes them (especially people who don't like deserts), but they do help people who don't feel like eating too much. Drinking is a bit easier than eating.
So if Josh hasn't received any such drinks, you might ask the people in the hospital about them.
Take care, Robert

drink protien drinks or even add carnation breakfast to every meal, or ice cream. Ask dietition about a protein drink with extra protein
