August 30, 2011 10am

Well, we were moved back down to the oncology floor last night and oddly enough we are back in the same room as before. The new room number is 325 and it's at the front of the hospital again, so no more taking the ICU elevators. Before we left the other room last night they took the wound vacuum off because no one was available to come fix it. He just had a regular dressing all night that had to be changed a few times. The oncologist came in this morning with the intention of starting chemotherapy today but informed us that he has a lot of fluid in his abdomen, apparently it is down around his pelvis and bladder. She sent him down to radiology just a minute ago to have it drained. He will be unconscious and they are going to drain the fluid with a needle to see if it is infected. The plan after that is to bring him back and have the surgeons come back by to put the wound vacuum back on. Chemotherapy could possibly start later today but more than likely tomorrow. Will update more later!

Let's pray there is no infection and that he gets through this chemo easily...

I'm sorry to hear Josh's day has been filled with more ups and downs. I'm hoping the results show no infection and that the Drs. figure out how to deal with the fluids...

Our prayers are with both of you...
Psalm 39:8 and 13 ....In You is my hope....Hear my prayer, O Lord.

We are praying faithfully for no infection, that chemo can begin with no problems, and continued strengtening of both body and spirit. Keep the faith Josh and Kalyn and God will carry you thru the down times and bring you back to the good, happy times. Wish we could be there to give you all hugs.
All our love,
